Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen want Michelle Obama to wear The Row

Success has followed them from Hollywood to New York City, next Stop D.C.?

Profiled in the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen make it apparent that they have successfully made the move from Tinseltown to Uptown. In just 3 short years the Olsen duo have created a line that is worn by familiar faces such as Heidi Klum, Jessica Biel, and Charlize Theron. Aside from the starlets of Hollywood, the sisters hope to have the opportunity to dress the first lady herself, Michelle Obama. In the interview with Harper’s Bazaar they went on to say,

““I’d love to get Michelle Obama in the Row. The simple suits and things. It’s all made in America, so why not?”

If Michelle were to choose a collection from The Row to rock, the Fall 2010 would be it. Usually known for their bohemian-grunge fashion, Mary-Kate and Ashley took a new minimalist approach for the upcoming season. Neutral colors and beautifully fitted jackets can be seen in their Fall Preview as well as dresses for all occasion. A fresh line, made in America, tailored to perfection, I am going to have to agree with the Olsen’s on this one, and ask the First Lady, why not?
